THE MET BUILDING

The Met Building
Situated on the corner of Tottenham Court Road and Percy Street, The Met Building was constructed in the early 1960's. In 2005 Keystone were contracted to supply, fabricate and install Coombefield Whitbed Portland stone cladding to new podium construction, comprising of 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor levels. Scope of our works included compilation of stone cutting schedules, and design/fabrication/installation of proprietary stainless steel mechanical fixings.

The existing Portland ashlar tower was fully restored, including nebulous water cleaning,  repointing of open/defective joints, stone indents, and crack pinning.

We also installed Moleanos limestone flooring, skirting, and entrance mat to the reception area, porcelain tiling to various WCs/shower rooms and granite setts to external paving.
